Jeremy lives! Maybe, possibly, who knows?
When someone dies on a TV show, it is not a given that they are permanently dead or off the show completely. And so it is on The Vampire Diaries. Recently one of the main characters, Jeremy was bled dry by the very thirsty Silas and then had his neck snapped to top off his demise.
TVLine.com has reported that Steven R. McQueen who portrays Jeremy on TVD is scheduled to return to the show. But is he being resurrected by Bonnie who is possibly planning on resurrecting a whole slew of dead people, or will he appear in a flashback, will he be a ghost or will Silas take on Jeremy’s form as he has others? How do you think Jeremy will reappear?
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays @ 8:00pm on the CW.

On Monday the CW announced early pick-ups for three of its most successful series: Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and Arrow in the 2013-2014 season.
This will mark Season 5 for “The Vampire Diaries,” Season 9 for “Supernatural,” and Season 2 for “Arrow,” which has been The CW’s undeniable breakout hit of the season. ”Arrow” gave The CW its best series premiere since 2009 when it debuted with 4.3 million viewers, “Vampire Diaries” is the network’s highest-rated show in target demos, and “Supernatural” is up 15 percent in total audience versus last season. That’s a dramatic ratings increase almost unheard of, especially for a show in its eighth season. The dramas will be entering their second, fifth and ninth seasons in fall 2013, respectively.
“We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit “Arrow” and fan favorite “Supernatural” on Wednesday night, and the continued success of “The Vampire Diaries” on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that,” says CW president Mark Pedowitz in a statement. “Not only do “Arrow,” “Supernatural,” and “The Vampire Diaries” perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season,” he continues.
Which of these renewals are you most excited about? And which CW series do you think deserves a pick-up next?

8:00pm Arrow (CW)
It seems the new shows starring alumni’s from “Smallville” are always being compared to Superman. Why? None of them are remotely similar to the man of steel. First of all, fans of “Smallville” should realize by now this Green Arrow is not the same one that hung out with Superman on “Smallville.” The Arrow character is being played by a different actor, Stephen Amell, not Justin Hartley, which may take a while for some “Smallville” fans to wrap their heads around. But the storyline is the same. Oliver Queen is shipwrecked, presumed dead, somehow returns to his home city of Starling and transforms into the vigilante/super hero (Green) Arrow. Check out the trailer here.

- The Vampire Diaries
8:00pm The Vampire Diaries (CW)
At the end of season 3, the good doctor Meredith took it upon herself, unbeknownst to anyone else, to dispense vampire blood to Elena after she had a life-threatening brain hemorrhage, something the Salvatore brothers had been trying to prevent. Later, when Elena drowns in a car accident, Meredith’s secret is revealed. Now it’s not a question of if, but when and how, will Elena first feed to complete the transformation. She has a lot of help and advice from friends that have been through the transformation themselves. Bonnie, who has honed her witching skills and spells, makes Elena a daylight ring. Bonnie also helped Klaus take over Tyler’s body. In addition to dealing with vampires, both good and bad, the gang is also in their senior year of high school.
9:00pm Beauty and the Beast (CW)
“Beauty and the Beast” have another alumni from “Smallville” as a headline star. Kristen Kreuk who portrayed Clark’s first crush Lana Lang is the beauty half of the “Beauty and the Beast” duo. But this is not the kid’s version of the classic story. The writers decided to switch up the classic story line with the fact that the beast, played by Jay Ryan, is not really beastly looking on the outside. They decided the beast is only ugly on the inside. Not sure this concept is going to work. In general, the public doesn’t react well to having their classic stories rewritten. Check out the fall preview trailer here.

August 13th, 2012
TV Guide’s William Keck recently ran into The Vampire Diaries executive producer at Comic-Con and got some inside secrets on the upcoming new season. Here’s what she had to tell him:
Early in the season, newly-turned vampire Elena (Nina Dobrev) will have what Plec calls her "first hot vampire sex" with either Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley) , Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Matt (Zach Roerig) or Elijah. (Are they sure that’s ALL the possibilities??) A possible clue as to who the lucky guy is? "Elena saved Matt’s life, so he’s going to end up paying it forward in a very peculiar way." Dobrev’s reaction to the action: "It’s like she’s going through puberty and vampire sex is going to feel like her first time."
Stefan will be driving a new motorcycle to show off his rebellious side. "I ride motorcycles in my daily life, so I’m excited to burn some rubber," says Wesley, who’d been campaigning for these wheels. "I ride a Triumph but I’m hoping Stefan gets something vintage."
Damon will find a new daytime drinking buddy in Tyler (Michael Trevino). "I think Tyler is up to the challenge of picking up at the bar where Alaric left off," says Trevino. Adds Somerhalder: "Enemies will become allies."
The fourth episode flashes back 900 years to shed further light on Rebekah (Claire Holt), who’s looking for a new place to live. "The Salvatore house is huge," suggests Somerhalder. "And so is Damon’s bed!" (Duh!)
Expect a "big, spontaneous, explosion of joy with some kissing" the first time Caroline (Candice Accola) lays eyes on Tyler, who she thought died. "Shirts are flying off in our first episode back," teases Trevino.
Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) will possibly find love with new character April (Grace Phipps, who arrives in Episode 2), a pastor’s daughter who returns from boarding school under tragic circumstances and reconnects with her childhood friend. "It will be interesting to see where they go with that," says McQueen. "But he and Bonnie still have some unfinished business."
“The Vampire Diaries” season 4 begins Thursday, October 11 @ 8/7c on the CW.

The Vampire Diaries – Damon and Stefan
Vampire Diary fans can look forward to more evil visiting Mystic Falls before the end of season two. Klaus, one of the original vampires (which means he is very, very old) will prove to be a force to be reckoned with, but will the cure vampire brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) be able to handle Klaus and keep everyone in town safe?
Mystic Falls is not only crawling with vampires, but witches and werewolves have also been introduced into the show. Bonnie (Katerina Graham) has just recently discovered her witch heritage and is learning how to harness her newfound powers. When fans last saw her Bonnie was hanging out with her new boy-witch friend (aka a warlock) Luka (Bryton James). Together they are trying to break the spell that causes a werewolf bite to kill vampires. But is that legend really true? Bonnie also declined Jeremy’s advances, but Graham states it wasn’t a rejection, it was for Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) own protection.
Executive producer Julie Plec gives more inside scoop to TV Guide Magazine. "There is a devolution of Rose’s sanity and Rose’s character, as a result of the bite, which brings a lot of danger into Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) world and into everybody else’s world," says Plec. "The follow up from that is going to be pretty extreme." And then there’s werewolf Jules (Michaela McManus). "She knows now that Mason’s dead, and she’s going to have something to say about that. What she chooses to do and how she chooses to respond is big and it’s bold, and it takes us for the next couple episodes on a journey that’s pretty intense."
And, finally, there’s some good news for Team Damon. "Elena and Stefan are happily back together, but as a result of what Rose is going through, Damon and Elena find themselves sort of thrown together, trying to deal with this invalid vampire," says Plec. "They go through a pretty rough emotional experience together which, of course, cements their relationship even further."
The Vampire Diaries returns with new episodes on Jan. 27 at 8/7c on the CW.

On the tails of the success of the vampire movie “Twilight” comes a new TV series all about vampires on the CW. Based on the series of books by L.J. Smith, “The Vampire Diaries” has been paired with the CW Thursday night hit “Supernatural”. As in “Twilight” the main characters of “The Vampire Diaries” are high school students which should make the show appeal to the younger generation.
In the debut of “The Vampire Diaries”, which is an hour-long show, there was maybe a maximum of 10 minutes which could be considered “scary”. In the opening scene we see couple driving down a foggy road when suddenly a person appears in the middle of the road and the vehicle hits them. Of course the bold manly driver has to get out of the safety of the vehicle to try to help the stricken person only to be savagely attacked himself. And the same fate befalls the girl when she gets out of the vehicle to announce that there is no cell phone signal for her to call for help. We never see what it what that attacks these people, but since the show is titled “The Vampire Diaries” we will assume it was a vampire.
Elena Gilbert (Nina Dibrev) and her brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) are adjusting to their new life living with their aunt after their parents were killed in a tragic car accident. Elena tries to hide her grief from everyone and copes with it by keeping a daily journal. Jeremy has taken a lower road by turning to alcohol and drugs but Elena is keeping a close eye on him.
As the school year starts for the teens in Mystic Falls, Virginia, there is a mysterious and handsome new student who has caught the eyes of all the girls. Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) is a vampire living up on the hill with his uncle. He has a special ring he wears so he is able to move about in daylight without being harmed. (Of course this is a secret that only the TV viewers are aware of.) Stefan is attracted to Elena and “accidently runs into her in the cemetery where she is visiting her parents’ grave and writing in her journal. A raven appears along with some fog creeping in and Stefan does a quick disappearing act after he sees blood on Elena’s leg. At a back-to-school bonfire party the next night, we see the raven again as another mysterious fog appears around Elena’s friend Vicki (Kayla Ewell) who is found bleeding from a savage bite to the neck.
Stefan rushes home fearing he knows the truth about what has happened to Vicki. When he arrives home he finds his older brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) whom he hasn’t seen in over 15 years. Of course, Damon is also a vampire who has come back to town to ridicule his brother some more for turning his back on his vampire legacy of violence and brutality. Stefan chooses to not feed on humans, instead finding sustenance in small wild animals. Damon feels like this decision has made Stefan weak. We find out that Stefan keeps journals of his own when we see one dated in the 1800’s that has a photo on the front that looks strikingly similar to Elena. It is a photo of a woman that Stefan and Damon loved more than a century ago.
These two vampire brothers have different viewpoints concerning what they are and how they should live. One is the evil Damon– wanting to own Elena’s soul and feed off the humans. The other is good Stefan – wanting to protect Elena and other humans from his brother’s violent ways.
Two questions come to mind after watching “Vampire Diaries”. Vampires have always been associated with fog, but when did they get the ability to conjure up fog at will or to turn themselves into ravens?
